Poison in the pancakes...
I love getting mail. I also love getting new shit to keep me inspired.
I got this sweet package in the mail the other day from my buddy. We like to send each other random bullshit.
Here's the contents of his serve:

A whole bunch of cool shit in there. The Jisoe DVD on the left is a really nice doco on Melbourne writer "Jisoe". I recommend checking it out. It's one of the most honest and personal graffiti flicks I've ever seen. Top Right is a new Mix CD by Perks called "Pizza and Mezze". He released this to coincide with the launch of the new PAM range "Peace and Menace". The beats on it are fresh! Bottom right is the latest zine that he made in San Francisco with some kick arse famous writer dudes. It's all found photos. Really cool. They made it by ripping off a copy shop. The cover is screen printed.

Pages from the zine.

More pages.

That's the inside of the Perks cd. Sushi is pretty much my favourite thing ever.
My homie Clanker hooked me up with this sweet DVD:

It's filmed in Los Angeles and contains heaps of graffiti and other bullshit. Heaps of TKO and MSK shit. I enjoyed it a lot.

This is a cool book of Home Made tattoo's. Check the article in the next Death Before Dishonour and pick up a copy of the book.

I picked up my own copy of the "Without Reason" book the other day. It's a good one. Grab it from The Outpost in Brisso.
Here are some pages:

Phibs.

Above.

Giant.
---
And now some random stuff I found while goofing off on the internet:

Found this short little video about Remio VTS. This dude rocks: Click here to see the clip

Giant has a new site design up: mikegiant.com
These two Kegr shirts are the shit!:

If anyone knows where to get them, hook me up!

The Seventh Letter crew have a new blog thing at KNOWN GALLERY

God speed us to sea

We FINALLY got together...

Here's the completed wall.

Well here we are...

Aeros rocked a burner on one of the side walls...love this piece.

So dose rolls the wall up for those NCB pieces...and then Kurs goes and does THIS on top of them...what a cunt.

Unome getting...well...a little weird...

Rachi & Nina havin a blast!

This is what rachi had just done on Nina when I rocked up...now I used to HATE writing on ribs...probably more than any other tattoo, but this looks fucking sick...love it.

So we're STILL recording, this is how troy looks after 8 hours and quite a few joints...

Ahren getting there...ever so slowly...

Chris isn't stoned. He just looks like this.

The Emperor hath no clothes...
Friday arvo bourbons...
Here are some shitters that we did this arvo while Amity were trying to record. No doubt I will get grilled for posting this cause no one was feeling thier flow tonight. Even in the recording booth both Yoel and Ahren were struggling to record vocals that they were happy with.
The Herd are playing tommorow night with The Optimen. Hopefully I am going. Need $$.
Oh and Happy Birthday to my little Russian friend. Hope you are naked, drunk and walking down the street with one shoe by now.
On with the slaughter...

Dym's Wok Fried Chicken.

El Clanke' Big Mac with Cheese.

Kendo Fillet Oh' Fish.

Deep Fried Tofu.

Tour of Booty.

Boredom.

Back Wards.
About to watch a doco called 911 The Falling Man. Hope its good.

BIG TOWNSVILLE
So I just spent the last week in Townsville, North Queensland helping my mate Lee set up for his solo exhibition at Perc Tucker gallery.
Heaps of Brissy crew ventured up for the show - Overall it was a blast. Here's some pics;

Lee putting some finishing touches on one of the paintings.

Tools of the trade.

We like to pop cans.

This is on the southbound highway heading to my parents place. The car I was borrowing would overheat all the time. Which would mean 30 minute pitstops everytime I had to drive somewhere. Pain in the arse!
After being in Townsville for a few days I made the journey North to Elana's hometown of Tully for a day.

Tully Sugermill blazes 24-7.

An old old Elana Mullaly painting hanging in her parents house.

Elzee's sister cares for wildlife - At the moment she has a baby wallaby called Eucalyptus, nicknamed Elmo. Raddest little dude ever.

Lunch.

We spotted a couple of Cassowary's while driving around. These dude's will fuck you up.

Tully's "Golden Gumboot." A symbol that it rains a whole lot more there than anywhere else.

Back in Townsville, Joel arrived and worked all night on these collages for Lee's show while everyone else slept.

Lee fits in a radio interview before we head to the gallery for another day of setting up. Prime Time.

The Exhibition booklets arrive safe and sound. One less headache.

Lee paints Mickey Mouse on the gallery wall.

The Spirit of Mooch-I and Norma Jean.

More works from the show.

B.Boy Exit arrives at the gallery to say G'day and deliver this sweet airbushed tee as a present. Lee was stoked.

Opening Night. I just found out that over 500 people came to the gallery to see the show. I had to freestyle the opening speech - Fucking nerves!

Posse shot.

These ladies were out of control.

Brolga, Loop Loko, Smiz tha Wiz.

If you have one of these you know what's up.

The double bourbon clap. Oh yeah.

Later that night at The Bank Nightclub. B.boy Exit takes control of the dancefloor. Everyone was pretty excited.

Party time!

The next afternoon we all started a wall. 13 writers in attendance.

A well used tshirt.

The Syndicate.

Exit showing everyone how its done.

Beers on ice. The tallies are Ianz Oner home brew.

Paris with her new Clank customized jeans.

Dinner at a White Blue greek restuarant. Eating like kings.

Paying the bill.

Expensive tastes.

The whiteboard at Archers Studio.

This is on the wall in my old room at my parents house. The beginning of Artillery mag. 1 page of graff in Remedy Street Press. January 2003.

Cockatoo's hanging out in my parents back yard.
T'ville was great- Everyone had a blast.
I'm hungry, it's time to eat.

To hell with it, the Goddamn psychos can't hang on for long...

Mr.Claudio Kirac being a Lord. Myself being...myself.

These two appear to be having a contest to see who can be the cutest...I would comment but I am far too biased in the matter.

Now you see, this just has "HIRE US" written all over it. I can tell you're sitting there right now practically holding back your mouse hand from getting all over zealous and heading straight to our site to HIRE US. You see we're an extremely professional bunch, very slick, as it were.

Some type I've been working on for the next death before dishonour, which might even make it out one day, alongside the new artillery...

A little hoo ha for fifth fam in the studio 454 office, a little slapped together, but they didn't seem to mind. They're kind enough to let me paint pretty much anything in there so I thought I would do them a little something something...It has to be noted that by the time I had arrived at the outlining stage I was horrendously inebriated...horrendously...

I had the pleasure *huh hem* pleasure of painting two of these banners for Electronic Arts over the weekend...I thought they were ok. That is all.

Random Bullshit.
You may have seen this by now but in case you haven't here is the video of Banksy's Paris Hilton prank. I love this prank - Good on him for doing it - I enjoyed it a lot. It reminds me of a shockwave project that I did at uni as a comment on societies perceptions of female beauty based on images we are bombared with in movies and magazines.
I actually have a soft spot for Paris, but I would have to say honestly it is based purely on aesthetics. I can't stand the blatant fake ness of the latest season of her TV show with Nicole Richie - They should have let that die after the first season.
I also just learned that the recorded CD that came with the Banksy pranked up packaging is a 40 minute remix track produced by Danger Mouse of DANGER DOOM and Gnarls Barkley fame.
Danger Mouse and Banksy are believed to have met whilst shopping for disguises in a Soho joke shop.
The only comment they have so far offered on their remix is "Its hard to improve on perfection, but we had to try."

The altered cover

An alterered spread.
See all the artwork here: Flickr
In other news Chuck at No Pattern has a new website:

I love Hollywood.

I like this bandana he did for Reason clothing.
Check out the site here: No Pattern Dot Com

Also check out this cool blog from Sydney by Mister Mepher and Numskull etc etc SECOND CLASS CITIZENS They post cool shit so give it a regular look. (Yimmy we need a links section on the side - All blogs: These guys, Kaws, Giant etc - hit that shit up homie!?)

In other news they have started construction in the empty yard right beside the office - We have already put up with about 4 months of FUCKING LOUD renovations from one of our neighbours, and right as they are finishing we now have fucking HEAVY machinery next door - Some days we even have a combination of both construction and renovations. Its a bitch!

In even OTHER news I'm flying to Townsville on the weekend to start setting up for my buddy Lee's art show next week. It's gonna be a big one he has been working on this for a while. Check it out if you can. Of course I will do a blog of our TSV antics. I just finished the booklet for the art show - Its gonna be a good one. Above is the front and back of the invite.

Also one of my favourite bands He Is Legend released a track from their yet to be released album "Suck Out The Poison". I can't wait to get my hands on this album. The new track is called "Mushroom River" and it's fucking sick! Check it out here.
While you are at it check out Solid State Record's New Music Week new tracks from Norma Jean, Me Without You and others. We got a leaked version of Norma Jean's new record and its killer! Can't wait for it to drop.
I'm also really looking forward to Rhys Lee's new art show at the Gold Coast this Friday.

The show is called Pink Eye. That's a painting for the show:

And that's and older one that I like.

Im saddened today to learn that Steve Irwin is dead. He was a great ambassador for Australia and his love for animals will be remembered.
