Dyms posted a while ago about being infatuated with a particular artist at certain times. Its my time for one: Jose Parla I remember seeing 1 or 2 of his things a while ago but didn't really follow up to his site or anything. So I was in outpost today and saw the new Arkitip. I just love it.

Photographer
I met this guy last night, glen wilkie, he's one half of wilk&lund, a small photography firm down here in sydney. He was quite cocky, and that kind of put me off at first, but after talking to him for a while I realised he was actually quite a nice guy. Anyway, we exchanged contacts and he handed me his busines card. I just went and checked out his site, and it is VERY impressive...Seriously impressive photography. Go check it out at Wilk & Lund. Just a side note, you'll need quite a fast connection, it's a big site.
He also offered to shoot for death before dishonour free of charge, so I think we will be adding him to our growing list of staff.

Hey, petrol breath, what the fuck are you doing?
On the first leg of our tour we ran into a slight problem with our van...it takes diesel, and garth filled it with unleaded. With only a few hours to get to the show we abandoned all, well ok, most of our hope and began trying to syphen fuel from the tank. If you run the motor with unleaded in it, it pretty much rips the motor apart apparently. I have no idea. I know nothing about cars. Anyway, this is troels, mid-unleaded-fuel-spit about 3 hours into a 5 hour stay in a back alley somewhere down in fitzroy, melbourne.

I'm not in amity anymore either, I quit while we were here in sydney. I can't wait to get home, I miss lulu like crazy. New avalon drive cd and dragline cartel cd being designed the minute I get back as well. ciao. cvsa

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN?
"LAST NIGHT I DREAMT WE JUMPED OF A BUILDING TOGETHER. WE LANDED ON A PILE OF LADDERS. THEN WE LAUGHED." - Biggy Burbs via SMS.
So the day before I got the above SMS I did some photos with Ned (Kelly). It was alot of fun and I cant wait to do it again soon.

Ive been so bloody busy lately... Its about to get a whole lot worse too. Oh well when it gets better it will all be worth it.
I sent my camera away to get fixed yesterday so I may need to borrow a camera to keep myself ammused. I guess its back to film for a while... I will post up some shots here when I can afford developing.
Till next time...

IF YOU'VE GOT SKELETONS IN YOUR CLOSET, YOU BETTER TEACH THEM TO DANCE.
Stormie (ADS, AWR) from Perth just launched his new site and its pretty fly.

I remember Stormie as "StormBoy" from old Hype Magazines but hadn't seen anything from him in years until some paintings he did in LA recently popped up on the Seventh Letter website.

Check it out: www.stormie.com.au

Also the lovely fella's at T7L laced us with a couple of new tee's and these fresh Grime bandana's.

The Grime bandana's are for a photoshoot that ABCK has done for the next Artillery. Claudio done installment 5 of the photoshoot the other night and its bloody good. You will have to wait to see the photos in the mag tho.

Thats Mr Long-Dong rocking the bandana. While I think this is a cool photo I have to admit that the bandana looks way better on "Tabitha" in the photoshoot.
Visit www.theseventhletter.com
and : www.grimemonster.com
Anyway I better go, Im doing this from my "Day-Job"

INFATUATION
So every now and then I get really hooked on an artist and need to find everything about them.
Effective immediately I can add two people to my brain as heroes:
Ben Sansbury is a designer/artist type dude who I have known about for a while largely due to his work for Silas and his pretty weird P.A.M book called "MEGABLASTER". While I thought his art stuff was interesting, I didnt get it. Well something has clicked in the past day or so and now I GET it. And Im hooked.
Its a pity its bloody impossible to find anything about said homie on the internet.

Here are some sites that he built for Silas. They are dope-izzle. SILAS 2 and SILAS 3
Michael A. Salter is a fucking dope graphic artist dude who is featured in the latest issue of Lodown mag (Issue 50, its fucking dope! Check it out). Unlike Ben Sansbury, Michael Salter actually has a site and its pretty friggin rad. Check it out here: YO! COPYRIGHT SALTER
Here are some pictures that I stole from his site... They are lovely. Very inspiring;

We managed to get our hands on a leaked and unmastered copy of UnderOaths new album 'Define The Great Line'. I love it! I listened to it three times in a row just then, and countless times before that. Its fantastic!
Anyway better sleep now. My eyelids are heavy.

GET DRUNK. PUNCH ON
The last week has been abit of a blur. Here are some photos and random thoughts. Because things have been so blurry I cant remember exact days n shit.
My homie Blends got out of jail the other day so last night we went for dinner and drinks. Ended up at the DE LA SOUL concert, was pretty cool but I was pretty scattered and didnt really pay much attention. Afterwards we went to the club formerly known as The Depot. They were playing N.W.A's Fuck The Police when we walked in which was wierd. Watching hardcore kids booty dance to another random rap track was pretty amusing. I learned a valuable leason last night: NEVER leave home without a camera.
The last thing I saw before I jumped in a cab last night was a guy bailing down the centre of the Valley mall with the whole back of his shirt ripped off and about 4 cops running after him to arrest him. I walked down the top of the mall and spotted Ahren (of the all famous Amity Affliction) with blood on his eye brow. Ahren was all psyched and saying shit like "Fuck yeah, lets start more fights." After a girl dragged Ahren away and home, Joel told me that the guy (with the ripped tee) had given them some shit for wearing tight jeans so Ahren cracked him in the head and started a big brawl. Then Ahren just stood there laughing while the guy got arrested. Nice
Our friend Yukon is now in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Its really fucked! Im not going to claim to know him as well as Joel and Chris and the other lads do, but he is a fucking cool guy and doesnt deserve this, makes me feel like shit. Our thoughts are with you and your family!
Also Hitnes left to go to Sydney, Tasmania, Melbourne and then back to Rome. Im gonna miss that guy, it feels like he will rock back from the shops and say "Are you hungry?" at any moment. See you in Roma yo.

This is Hitnes a couple of hours before he left. He had to finish this skateboard for the "I used to skate once, too" artshow that Matt from The Outpost organises. Cant wait for the show.

This is what happens when you make a magazine with no money. Late nights and crashing on the studio floor.

Amber made me some Mars-bar slice the other dar. So yummy. She is a gem!

Claudio enjoying one the tasty treats.

Breakfast.

What?!

Jalley is evil.

Told ya!

Im starting to play with some film cameras. CK leant me the Pentax on the right. Im shooting a roll of B+W film. Super scared. I cant wait to play with the Yashica on the left. The shot in the background is Terry Richardson for Sisley. Check out the rest of the photos, they are awesome.

The sky has been pretty crazy lately. Joel and I are obsessed with clouds.

And later. The sunsets have been amazing.

Joel, straight pimpin.

Elzee has a party hat.
