318 Bottles of bourbon on the wall...
So, it's been a really really long time since I've had a chance to sit down and go through the massive amount of photographs that I have taken over the past two months. Going through these photos made me realise how good life is. All the traveling around has been fun and I feel really blessed to be able to get around as much as I do and also for all the friends that I have accumulated over the years.
Anyway, this update is mammoth, so down to business!

(The order of these images is a little backwards within the sections, but it's too time consuming to fix so just scroll backwards or something.)

SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS festival - BYRON BAY, August 2007.

Cops dig hip hop now. It's true. These two lovely ladies were rocking out to Planet Asia.

We bumped into Dicko from Australian Idol at the bar where we were staying the night before the festival. Contrary to his image, he is actually a super nice guy.

Jam packed

Lily Allen is fucking amazing!

My buddy Scott was in Byron shooting for Vice.

HE IS LEGEND TOUR - BRISBANE, SYDNEY, MELBOURNE, ADELAIDE, September 2007
I was lucky enough to go on tour with my friends in The Amity Affliction when they toured with He Is Legend. I'm a massive fan of both bands so it meant a lot to me to be able to go on this tour. Amity's leg of the tour was 4 days in duration, so it was party time every night and then a few hours after each show we would all have to pile in the van and drive to the next city. I had so much fun on this tour.

I heart fried chicken

Joel of the hit band The Amity Affliction and Taco Taco, Amity's tour manager.

Met this girl in Adelaide. Her new feet are super rad!

Trad Amity and Matt Legend

Bearded ladies

Ouch

The Amity boys made Woggo wear this for 1 hour in the van as punishment for talking to much stupid shit. Amazingly he actually kept it on for the whole hour.

Lurch

Ryan Amity and Ben Coyte

Hartley's new feet. Funny huh?

In Sydney I ditched the bands after the show and went to party with some mates at The Oxford Art Factory.

Beeeeeeeenahhhhh

Have you seen Joel's baseball?

My other 4 cameras used on the trip.

The band room in Brisbane got trashed. This is a photo of what was a beer bottle a split second before this photo was taken

It was great to go catch up with Mike for his show in Sydney, I've been waiting for the big guy to come out to Australia for quite a while. His show was fucking dope! I really enjoyed it.
As always, it's not Sydney without a party;

Corny tourist shot.

PARKLIFE festival - BRISBANE, September 2007

-------
PARKWAY DRIVE @ THE ARENA - BRISBANE, October 2007.
So, last night Parkway Drive played at the Arena. It was a huge show and sold out months in advance.
We arrived about four songs into Parkway's set, the place was fucking packed and kids were getting into it. I waited about another four songs and then made my move for the media pit to photograph the last couple of songs and the encore. When I first got in my photos weren't turning out and I couldn't work out why. After valuable time lost I worked out that my lens was fogged up from all the vapourised human sweat in the air - I have never had that happen before.
So anyway I wasn't that siked on the way my Parkway shots turned out, but whatever.
After the show, as the few thousand fans were leaving the venue, the security were yelling at everyone to keep moving, even though everyone was moving as fast as a couple of thousand people are able to in a small area. There were a few minor incidents as a result of rebellion against the growing presence of police officers and police cars, and at least one Police dog. But for the most part it was a peaceful exit. As the last few people were leaving the immediate area around the venue, the Police moved in and forced the remaining people to move along. One officer's first words to me were "fuck your camera, move on" prior to forcing me along.
About a hundred or less people remained lingering across the street, which clearly is unacceptable as about 15-20 Police and the police dog formed a human road block, and, when instructed, moved forward clearing everyone out of the area. It was the most unnecessary use of Police resources that I have ever seen with my own eyes.
Fight the power, ha ha ha.
